The inspiration for our Publishing brand is based off of Diogenes’s Lamp. A popular story about him involves him carrying a lamp during the day, specifically in the marketplace of Athens. When asked why he was doing this, he would reply, “I am looking for an honest man.” This act was a commentary on the perceived hypocrisy and lack of virtue he saw in society, suggesting that true virtue was a rare and elusive quality. For us at Scriptnous Diogenes’s Lamp signifies a search for great virtuous storytelling.
This is the educational logo. Based off of the Philosopher himself⸺Aristotle. The choice for this logo is due to our pursuit of eudaimonia—the state of fulfilling one's potential. For us this is our craft as storytellers.
